How to get there

> By car, we are 1.5km from exit 6 of the A8 motorway.

> Uber or Bolt, costs around €20 from the airport.

> Buses, regional buses 100m away and express buses 1.5km away.

> Train, Pero Negro station is 2.3km away.

What to bring

> Flashlight, mosquito repellent in summer, flip-flops if you don't want to be barefoot indoors, and personal hygiene products.

> Avoid using perfumes.

Dietary considerations

> At Enxara Retreats we avoid allergens and inflammatory foods, such as common wheat, nightshades (potatoes, eggplant, peppers...), peanuts, so our meals are suitable for those with intolerances, but not for those with allergies.

> For the whole group, we can accommodate some restrictions or preferences.

> Individually, we offer a communal kitchen for you to store and cook whatever you want.

Wifi

> We have high-speed open-signal wifi throughout the property.

> There is 4G and 5G coverage from all Brazilian carriers.

The weather at Enxara

At Enxara Retreats we have 280 days of sunshine a year.

> Spring, cool and pleasant, 12°C to 20°C with 8 to 10 hours of sunshine per day.

> Summer, hot and windy, 24°C to 27°C with 11 to 13 hours of sunshine per day.

> Autumn, humid and pleasant, 14°C to 24°C with 6 to 8 hours of sunshine per day.

> Winter, cold and humid, 6°C to 14°C with 5 to 6 hours of sunshine per day.

Animals

> We have free-roaming animals, dogs, cats, so it's difficult for you to bring your own due to territorial issues.

Children

> For safety reasons, we only accept adults or infants.

Accessibility

> Wheelchair accessible to all buildings, but assistance is required.

The surroundings

Enxara Retreats is located in the central-west region of Portugal, near Lisbon and Mafra, very close to:

> Pero Negro, São Sebastião, Enxara dos Cavaleiros, Enxara do Bispo… villages with cafes, restaurants and supermarkets… 5 minutes.

> Malveira… Thursday market, supermarkets, local shops, restaurants… 15 minutes away.

> Torres Vedras… the nearest city with monuments and everything else… 15 minutes.

> Ericeira… beaches and typical fishing village… 20 minutes.

> Lisbon… the capital and the airport… 23 minutes.

> Sintra and Cascais… the romanticism of the mountains, monuments and beaches… 30 minutes away.

> Bombarral… the oriental garden… 30 minutes.

> Óbidos… the medieval city… 34 minutes.

Cascais… the summer resort town… 40 minutes away.

House Rules

Parking

Park in a line within the existing boundaries.

Footwear

In the house and practice spaces, we remove our shoes outside due to the wooden floor and also for hygiene reasons.

Bathrooms

Bring the most eco-friendly products possible, as we treat our wastewater through a natural process. Anything other than toilet paper should be placed in the trash can.

Buffet

When using the buffet, please be reasonable, adjusting the amount served to the number of people in the group. Adhering to meal times means respecting the effort and dedication of the kitchen staff.

Communication

Any questions or needs during or after the retreat should be addressed to the facilitators. The Enxara team only responds to the responsible facilitators/organizers.

Natural Lake

Please do not use creams, perfumes, or oils and shower before entering the lake. Bring a bath towel for the lake.

Paints

If the facilitator uses paints in their work, they should protect the floor with plastic and ask participants to bring their own towels. Participants with dyed hair should also bring their own towel.

Sleeping

Bedding and interior materials should not be taken outside. If you snore, try to bring something to prevent it, do not use perfumes, and bring eco-friendly products.

Lost and Found

Lost items should be claimed from the facilitators/organizers after the event.
